The world can be a difficult place but at Girl Time! we know that teaching young people what the expected and respected behaviors are in social settings, and giving them the knowledge and skills they need to be socially competent boosts their confidence, builds self-esteem, and helps them present themselves more positively.
Girl Time! programs cover important and practical life and social skills topics that are age appropriate and offer life lessons to bring out the very best in every young person.
Kenya Foster, is Owner and Director of the Academy. She has over 13 years working in higher education, admissions, advising, orientation, recruiting, student retention and working with a diverse student population, Kenya understands the value of goal setting and how both social skills and respect can have tremendous impact on how we are perceived by others.
Additionally, previous roles as Physical Therapist Assistant, and Personal Trainer, showed Kenya how being kind to yourself is vital to building resilience and finding your personal power.
These combined passions underpin the programming at Baltimore based Girl Time! which includes confidence, self-esteem, civility, social intelligence, finishing school, and communication training tailored for girls as young as age 5 and women of all ages.
Girl Time! offers a signature 2-part program inspired by her daughter Zoe called, “Perfect- just as I am”.
This training focuses on building confidence and essential social skills in young girls with disabilities and on building compassion and communication skills for parents and others that support them.
Girl Time! also offers Tea and Social Etiquette as well as Tea Parties. Ms. Foster attributes her success in part to being a continuous learner.
In addition to a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a degree in Recreational Therapy, Kenya is a candidate for Master Trainer status with the International Civility Trainers’ Consortium.
She is on the affiliate team with Civility Experts Worldwide, the largest and leading civility training group in the world and she is a sought after speaker and trainer, listed on the Civility Speaker’s Bureau.
